Days 1 & 2

March 31 - Lucky I forgot to print the tickets ahead of time.  We had to go up to the counter so we were cleared for customs.  Stressful afternoon trying to find out if we had to go back through security at JFK.  Nice plane ride; big and lots of Virgin Atlantic staff and freebies. April 1 - Took cab to Troy hotel - wish I had known there was a shuttle.  (2 blocks from Queensway tube stop).  Oh well; all set for our return trip. Hotel is not fancy but clean and small.  Cool stairway.  We got a room at 9am even though check in wasn't until 2pm.  David slept a while.  I tried but couldn't. Rachel is picking us up for dinner of fish and chips. Rachel took us for fish and chips at Finery.  Used the subway.  Then we walked around and went into Selfridges's!
